FAQs

What is PEMF?

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy uses gentle electromagnetic pulses delivered through a specialized coil to support the body’s natural cellular function. By encouraging healthy circulation and oxygen delivery, PEMF is commonly used to support recovery, comfort, relaxation, and overall wellness in horses.

PEMF is non-invasive and drug-free. Most horses tolerate sessions very well and often find them relaxing. As with any wellness program, we recommend consulting your veterinarian regarding your horse’s individual needs and medical history.

Both MagnaWave and BEMER use PEMF technology, but they are designed differently.

BEMER focuses primarily on supporting healthy microcirculation through a proprietary pre-set signal. MagnaWave offers deeper penetration and fully customizable settings, allowing each session to be tailored to the individual horse and its specific needs.

Session length depends on your horse’s needs and the type of session and add ons selected.

  1. Full Body Session: 45–60 minutes
  2.  Targeted Sessions 20–30 minutes
  3. Show Day Session: 10–15 minutes

Yes. Many owners incorporate PEMF into their horse’s competition routine. Because every horse responds differently, we recommend trying PEMF before a training ride first to understand how your horse reacts.

Yes. There is no required downtime following a PEMF session, and horses may return to normal activity immediately.

For best results, we generally recommend weekly sessions. Regular PEMF sessions build upon cumulative therapeutic effects and help support ongoing comfort, recovery, and overall wellness.

The body functions as an interconnected system. Supporting circulation, recovery, and relaxation throughout the entire horse often helps promote overall balance and well-being while also addressing areas of concern.

Every horse responds differently. Many owners report that their horses appear more relaxed, comfortable, supple, and willing to move. Some horses may seem energized, while others may become sleepy or relaxed for a short period after treatment.

No. PEMF is a wellness modality and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It is designed to support the body’s natural processes and should not replace veterinary care.
